Statecollege Pennsylvania Weather
A brief spell of dry air has broken through the dismal start to 2021, but overall a cloudy picture holds out until early next week. A brief period of sunshine on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, December 1 breaks the general cloud pattern that has existed since the beginning of this week and, after a dismal start, resolves a brief period of dry air penetration for 2021. On Monday, November 30, the Department of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences of SUNY Oneonta (DAS) announced the imminent departure of two of its meteorologists. Gregory Gregory, an associate professor of meteorology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, has a "Certified Meteorologist" degree, which is awarded to transmitter meteorologists who meet established criteria for weather presentations. Pits would be happy to move to SUNy Oneona, as he has stopped working as a meteorologist in Jackson, Mississippi and Midland, Texas, while serving as a member of the National Weather Service (NWS) and the US Air Force.
